I’m not sure why I like sad and folky music so much—I’m generally a happy and positive person. There’s just something about a minor key that sucks me into a song. I can listen to it while I’m driving, while I’m working, while I’m walking, to fall asleep at night, when I’m cooking, and in virtually any situation. When I’m listening to sad and folky music, I feel calm and comfortable; I feel soothed.
So I created my own playlist on Spotify and I update it regularly with new, mostly-indie music. I’m fond of emerging indie and folk artists so the playlist includes plenty of them. If you have Spotify and you like sad and folky music, you can give it a listen.
